BIOFISICA APPOINTS RICK HILLSTEAD AS CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD AND CEO
ATLANTA - Aug. 20, 2009 - Biofisica Inc. is pleased to announce that as of June 2009 Rick Hillstead Ph.D., FAHA, has joined the Company as Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer.  Hillstead is currently a Partner with Georgia Venture Partners and has been actively involved in the design and development of medical devices since 1983.  Most recently, he was a founding member of The Innovation Factory (TIF) and a principal partner in Accuitive Medical Ventures I and II . At TIF he served as Chief Science Officer and was primarily responsible for technical due diligence and deal structure in areas of Interventional Cardiology and Orthopaedics. 

BIOFISICA OBTAINS $2.3 MILLION IN FINANCING FROM INVESTORS
Biofisica Inc, an Atlanta based company specializing in wound care therapy, today announced that it has obtained a comittment of $2.3 million in financing from investors.  The funding will support Biofisica's continued marketing efforts in the UK and ongoing planning initiatives in the US.  (Read More...)

ATLANTA-BASED BIOFISICA™ SECURES $2 IN FINANCING FROM LEADER VENTURES
ATLANTA—Aug.8, 2007 – Biofisica Inc., an Atlanta, Georgia-based innovator in wound care therapy, today announced the company has obtained $2 million in venture debt financing from Leader Ventures. Biofisica plans to use the funds for working capital and operational expenses related to its pioneering wound care product, POSiFECT® Bio-Electric Stimulation Therapy. ATLANTA-BASED BIOFISICA™ RECEIVES $5 MILLION IN SERIES A FINANCING
ATLANTA—Oct. 31, 2006 – Biofisica Inc., an Atlanta, Georgia-based high tech wound care company, announced today that the company has closed on $5 million in Series A Financing.
